Easter Bonnet Parade at Saydo Park
Rumours on Saydo that we are all extremely competitive may or may not be true, but we are all certainly up for a challenge and a good giggle. Resident Anne Bayne knew she could get us to embrace their artistic side and came up with the idea of an Easter Bonnet competition.
Obviously having nothing better to do than raid the local shops for everything Easter related, and some not even close, the competitors came up trumps and the results were amazing. Much to the amusement of bar staff, who should all know us better by now, and Spanish visitors to the hotel were somewhat bemused.
We saw chicks that may, or may not have been sipping a crafty Easter beverage, wine glasses as you have never seen them before and a plethora of eggs and beautiful flowers all arranged on various hats, bonnets and bits of paper. All very Blue Peter. The unenviable task of judging fell to office manager Cristina together with Hotel owner Maria, who wanted everyone to win! Alas it was not to be and First Prize was awarded to Tanith with a very close second awarded to Val. They were rewarded with bottles of fizz, whilst the runners up all received chocolate.
